Your 5-day Uganda Gorilla Safari takes you to Bwindi impenetrable Forest a home of Mountain Gorillas. Gorilla tracking is life time experience worth for all nature lovers. Here’s a general itinerary you might follow:
Itinerary
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport. Transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you might have some leisure time to explore the city or relax after your journey.
After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to about half of the world’s mountain gorillas. The journey to Bwindi may take several hours, but the scenery along the way is breathtaking, passing through rolling hills and lush landscapes. We have brief stop at Equator to experience the experiment of the Earth between the two hemispheres. Proceed to Mbara for lunch break before we continue with our drive to Bwindi.
Check in to your lodge near the park and relax for the evening.
Dinner and over night at : Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury) Mahogany Springs (Mid-range)
Early morning wake-up call for breakfast. Head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority guides. Begin your gorilla trekking adventure into the dense forest, accompanied by experienced guides and trackers.
The duration of the trek can vary depending on the location of the gorilla families, but once you locate them, you’ll have an hour to observe and photograph these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest and to recount your incredible experience. In the evening go for community visit for the unique Batwa culture and their community projects.
After yesterday’s adventure, today can be a more relaxed day by transferring to Lake Buyonyi the African deepest fresh lake. Enjoy a boat ride in different islands of the lake, visit different unique communities in the historical Islands. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia Cottages (Luxury) Lake Buyonyi Resort (Midrange)
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your lodge. Depart Lake Buyonyi and begin your journey back to Entebbe. Depending on your flight time, you may have some free time upon arrival to do some last-minute souvenir shopping or explore Entebbe.
