16 Days Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes NP (About a 3-hour trip)
Our representative will greet you at Kigali International Airport or pick you up from your accommodation in Kigali and take you on a quick tour of the city, including stops at the local market, the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, the Nyamirambo Women’s Centre, Kimironko Market, and Caplaki Craft Village. Later, proceed to Volcanoes National Park for an optional tour to the Musanze Caves, one of Rwanda’s oldest cave networks. Later, travel to the lodge for dinner and stay at Virunga Resort Inn and Spa (Luxury), Tiloreza Volcanoes Eco Lodge (Midrange), and Muhabura Hotel (Budget).
Day 2: Golden Monkey Trek and Ibyiwacu Village Tour
Breakfast will be provided early, and lunch will be packed. The briefing begins at 7 a.m. Your guide will highlight specific elements about the golden monkeys’ lives that you will be tracking. The walk might last anything from one to seven hours.
Trekking over the steep bamboo hills and then discovering the golden monkeys concealed in the foliage is an amazing and privileged experience. When you approach the golden monkeys, you may spend an hour with them while standing 6 meters away. After this remarkable meeting, you will reconnect with your driver / guide and go to your accommodation for lunch and some downtime.
After lunch, you will go for a cultural experience to Ibyiwacu village, popularly known as the “Gorilla Guardians Village.” Learn more about Rwanda’s rich cultural past by visiting the old King’s Palace and watching traditional Rwandan folk dance and singing performances by the local intore dance company. Later, return to your lodge for supper and an overnight stay at the same lodge listed above. Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi and Optional Batwa Cultural Tour (Approximately 4-5 hour’s drive)
Breakfast in the morning, then meet your driver guide for a 4-5 hour journey to Uganda’s Bwindi National Park. Enjoy the gorgeous trip to the park, with a few stops along the way to provide you plenty of opportunity to take photos. After arriving at your lodge in time for lunch, you can spend the rest of the evening at leisure, with an optional visit to the nearby Batwa (Pygmies) Community. Here, you can interact with the friendly Batwa people, gain insight into their rich history, and enjoy traditional dance and singing performances by the locals. Spend your dinner and overnight stay at either Mahogany Springs (luxury), Buhoma Haven (middle range), or Buhoma Community Rest Camp (budget).
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a training on mountain gorilla trekking by the park warden before continuing on to the jungle to seek out gorillas. Depending on the gorillas’ movements, the duration varies from 2 to 8 hours. Meeting gorillas suddenly is one of life’s most intriguing events. You will be able to watch and photograph at extremely close range. You’ll see adults eating and grumbling among themselves. After spending an hour with the long-awaited gorillas, your ranger guide will lead you back to the starting point, where your driver will be ready to take you back to the resort for a relaxing evening. Have dinner and stay at the lodge as described above. Mahogany Springs (luxury), Buhoma Haven (middle range), and Buhoma Community Rest Camp (budget).
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an optional evening game drive.
Wake up in the morning and eat breakfast at your lodge. You will then meet your driving guide and drive for 5–6 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping for lunch along the way. Arrive in the late afternoon and settle into your lodging. If you want to explore the park, you may go on an optional nighttime game drive in search of elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, waterbucks, topi, hippos, hyenas, and many other creatures. Dinner and overnight stay at Pumba Safari Cottages (Budget), Elephant Hub Lodge (Midrange), and Elephant Plains Lodge (Luxury).
Day 6: Lion Tracking Experience and Afternoon Boat Cruise.
After breakfast, you will depart for an early morning breakfast and a lion tracking experience/morning game drive in the Kisenyi sector, where you will have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife such as buffalos, topi, waterbucks, reedbucks, elephants, hyenas, kobs, and, if you are lucky, lions. You can also participate in an optional lion tracking excursion.
An expert crew will follow you as you track a pride of lions across the park. The action begins at 5 a.m. and lasts roughly 4 hours or longer, depending on the lions’ position in the park. A brief game drive through the Kasenyi part of the park will follow this exercise. Expect to see a variety of creatures, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, and Uganda kobs.
In the afternoon, you will take a boat excursion along the Kazinga Channel for more spectacular wildlife watching. You will observe innumerable hippos, buffaloes, and a diverse range of birds, including the African Fish Eagle and shoebill stork. Return to the hotel for dinner and stay at Pumba Safari Cottages (Budget), Elephant Hub Lodge (Midrange), and Elephant Plains Lodge (Luxury).
Day 7: Transfer to Kibale National Park and Optional Bigodi Swamp Walk (about 4-hour drive).
Before checking out, have a relaxing breakfast at the lodge. After meeting your driving guide, you will drive to Kibale National Park and arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. After lunch, you may take an optional guided nature walk in Bigodi Swamp, where you will see a variety of bird species, including the ancient Shoebill Stork. Dinner and overnight stay at Chimpundu Lodge (luxury), Chimpanzee Guesthouse (budget), or Isunga Lodge (middle range).
Day 8: Chimpanzee trek and travel to Entebbe (about 5-6 hours).
Take an early breakfast, get a briefing, and then begin chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is a top safari site in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale National Park, which covers 795 square kilometres, has one of Uganda’s most magnificent and diverse expanses of tropical forest. This is home to a variety of woodland fauna, most notably 13 species of ape combined with chimps.
After hiking, you will have lunch and then travel for 5-6 hours to Entebbe, arriving in the evening. Check into your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay at Cycad accommodation (Budget), Best Western (Midrange), or Protea Hotel (Luxury).
Day 9: Fly to Masai Mara, Kenya.
After breakfast, go to Entebbe airport for your further trip to Masai Mara. Aerolink Uganda conducts daily flights between Entebbe and Masai Mara. The flight to Masai Mara departs Entebbe Airport at 12:15 and arrives at 14:30 hours. When you arrive at one of the designated airstrips in Masai Mara, your Kenya safari guide will meet you and transport you to your booked lodge for late lunch.
Later in the evening, embark on an evening game drive, a fantastic opportunity to witness predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they hunt in the darkness using a spotlight. In the evening, you will return to your lodge, check in, and spend the night there. Transfer to your designated lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay at Enchooro Camp (Budget), Sentrim Lodges for Midrange, or Sekenani Camp (Luxury).
Day 10 and 11: Full-Day Game Drive Safari in Mara.
Wake up early, eat breakfast, and grab your packed lunch before meeting your safari driver to head to the plains of Masai Mara for a full day adventure in this stunning savannah vegetation as you watch many animals in large numbers, including lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeests, zebras, and many more. You will have your picnic lunch before heading out on a game drive till the sun goes down. In the evening, you will return to your lodge, eat supper, and spend overnight at the lodges listed above: Enchooro Camp (Budget), Sentrim Mara Camp for Midrange, and Sekenani Camp (Luxury).
Day 12: Visit Masai Bomas before continuing on to Serengeti National Park via Isebania.
Have a leisurely breakfast at your lodge and then check out. On your journey out of Masai Mara, you will meet up with your driving guide and go on a community culture tour of the Masai Bomas. Interact with the friendly people and learn more about the fascinating Masai culture by watching their traditional dance and singing performances. You will then have lunch and go to Serengeti National Park via the Indonesian border. Our Tanzania agent will meet you on the Tanzanian side once you have cleared immigration at the border.
Drive approximately two hours to Serengeti National Park, arriving at sunset. Check in at your lodge, then enjoy supper and an overnight stay at Tukawone Serengeti Camp (Budget) or Central Serengeti Bush Camp (Midrange).
Day 13: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park.
You will eat breakfast at your lodge before embarking on a morning game drive across the Serengeti National Park’s savannah plains to observe numerous animal species that are extremely active in the morning and may be readily sighted while enjoying the sunrise.
Lunch will be served at your lodge following your morning wildlife drive. Later in the evening, you will go on another game drive to witness animals such as the big five: lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, and elephants. Other wildlife and bird species that you may encounter include wildebeest, waterbucks, antelopes, zebras, kudus, hippos, and buffalos, among others. After your evening game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Tukawone Serengeti Camp (Budget) or Central Serengeti Bush Camp.

Day 14: Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Crater Game Drive
After breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti National Park, you will check out and travel on an en route game drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will provide your lunch before you descend to the Ngorongoro Crater to visit several sites, including Lake Magadi, located in the crater’s center.
As you visit the Ngorongoro Crater, you will notice a large number of flamingos around Lake Magadi’s shoreline as well as other bird species. In the crater region, you may also see elephants, buffalos, rhinos, zebras, waterbucks, antelopes, hyenas, gazelles, kudus, and predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. As you visit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will also be treated to stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape. You will then go to your lodge for dinner and sleep at Eileen’s Tree Inn (Budget), Hhando Coffee Lodge (Midrange).
Day 15: Transfer to Tarangire National Park and Evening Game Drive. (About a 4-hour trip)
Have breakfast at your hotel in the morning. You will then meet your driver guide and go to Tarangire National Park, which will take roughly 4 hours. Upon arrival at the park, you will go on an evening game drive in search of a range of exotic creatures such as African Savannah elephants, buffaloes, lions, rhinos, zebras, and giraffes. Later, check into your lodge for supper and overnight stay at Sangaiwe Tented Camp (Budget) or Baobab Tented Lodge (Midrange).
Day 16: Morning game drive and transfer to Arusha for departure. (About a 3-hour trip)
Wake up in the morning and eat your breakfast. Today you will go on a morning game drive in the park to see a variety of wildlife creatures such as cheetahs, lions, buffaloes, common elands, waterbucks, elephants, zebras, rhinos, and many more. Later, eat lunch on way to Arusha city, where your driver guide will drop you off at any hotel of your choosing or at the airport if you have a nighttime flight to catch.
