4 Days Nyungwe and Akagera
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.
In the morning, the driver will pick you up from your Kigali hotel and transport you south to Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will make a stop in Butare to visit the Rwandan National Museum, the Nyanza King’s Palace, and the Rwanda Genocide Memorial Site. After lunch, return to your accommodations to enjoy the evening at leisure. Dinner and stay at the Nyungwe Top Hill View Hotel (Midrange).
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk
Before venturing into the jungle to search for your lively and playful colleagues in Nyungwe Forest, make sure to stop for breakfast and receive a briefing on the endangered chimpanzees. Chimpanzees are significantly easier to recognize because they hop from one tree to another while chatting and laughing. ughing. After lunch, you’ll take a walking route to the Canopy Walk, a 50-meter-long swing bridge strung between enormous trees. You’ll be able to see the magnificent jungle from above, observing wildlife as it moves around below. Before nightfall, you will return to the lodge Nyungwe Top Hill View Hotel (Midrange) for dinner, as described above.
Day 3: Hike to Kamiranzovu waterfall and transfer to Akagera NP.
Breakfast at your leisure, then travel to the park for a guided nature walk to the Kamiranzovu waterfalls. The trek starts at 9 a.m. on a 5.9 km track and takes around 3½ hours to complete the round trip.
After your walk, enjoy lunch and then go to Akagera National Park, arriving in the evening. Drive to Akagera Game Lodge (Midrange) for dinner and overnight accommodations.
Day 4: Morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise, and transfer to Kigali.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before driving to the park for a guided game drive. Look for wildlife creatures in the park, like giraffes, buffalo, elephants, sitatunga, black and white rhinos, impalas, and many more. Return to your resort for lunch, then take an afternoon boat tour on Lake Ihema. You can spot a variety of bird species and wildlife strolling around the lakeshores. Later, travel back to Kigali and drop off at your accommodation.
Dinner and stay at the Kigali Serena Hotel.
