Detailed itinerary of 4 Days Serengeti – Ngorongoro – Kilimanjaro Safari
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Serengeti National Park
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative (your safari driver-guide) from Salt Holidays and embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park – the most popular game destination in Tanzania.
When you arrive in the park, you will have lunch at a picnic lunch and embark on an afternoon game drive on which you will experience the endless open plains and stunning skies of the Serengeti. Keep an eye out for several animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, wildebeests, elephants, warthogs, giraffes, leopards and cheetahs among others. Around sunset, you will drive to your lodge for an evening of relaxation, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Have early breakfast, meet your guide and head to Serengeti Plains for a morning game drive experiencing the beauty of Serengeti and sighting of several animals including early risers such as lions, leopards and cheetahs as they return from their hunting sprees. Other animals you will get to see include elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes and several bird species.
Later, exit the park and head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a stop at the Olduvai Gorge where you will see the human remains discovered by Dr. Leakey and his wife displayed in the Olduvai Gorge Museum. Continue to Ngorongoro Crater with en-route lunch, in the afternoon you will have a guided walk along the crater rim and enjoy a close encounter with several animals including zebras, giraffes, and warthogs among others. Later head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive – Transfer to Arusha
Wake up early for breakfast and head to Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive, descend 600m into Ngorongoro Crater floor for a game drive.
Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera in the world and home to the largest concentration of wildlife, during the game drive you will see several animals including large prides of lions, buffaloes, zebras, leopards, rhinos, warthogs, wildebeests, elands, hartebeests and several bird species including pink flamingoes on the shores of Lake Magadi.
After this immersive experience, you will ascend the crater and embark on a journey to Arusha Town where you will be dropped off at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Mount Kilimanjaro
Wake up early for breakfast, then head to Mount Kilimanjaro – the highest peak in Africa. It is impossible to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in just one day, however, you can take a day trip to this iconic snow-capped mountain and hike the initial part of the well-known Marangu Route. During your hike through the dense rainforest, you can see and hear the lively birdlife and colobus monkeys.
Kilimanjaro day hike begins at 6:30 am and ends at 7:00pm. Your trip starts with a hotel pick up, followed by a comfortable drive to the Marangu Gate for registration before the start of your much-anticipated hike. The route approaches the mountain from the southeastern part.
You will trek through lower altitudes and enjoy a picnic lunch en route to Mandara Hut. After reaching Mandara Hut, you will rest for approximately 30 to 45 minutes before beginning your leisurely descent.
Your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel, providing relaxing much to help you unwind. You will later be dropped off either at your hotel or the airport bringing your safari to an end.
