3 Day Murchison Falls National Park Safari
Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison falls national park
Depending on your location in Kampala/Entebbe, on the first day of the 3 Days Murchison Falls National Park Safari, you will be greeted by our driving guide, who will brief you on the safari before beginning the journey to Murchison Falls National Park in northwestern Uganda. On the route, you’ll stop at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary to track rhinos before continuing on to Masindi town for lunch. After lunch, you will continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will drive right to the top of the falls to experience stunning views of the waterfalls, water splashes, and many bird species. You will travel from the top of the falls to the lodge for supper and overnight stay at Paraa Safari Lodge-luxury, Pakuba Safari Lodge-midrange, or Parkside Safari Lodge-budget.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
On the second day of the three-day Murchison Falls National Park Safari, after an early breakfast, you will meet your driving guide for the morning game drive, which begins very early in the morning. During the game drive, you will see elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, lions, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, Uganda kobs, and a variety of bird species. After the wildlife drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will embark on an exciting boat cruise adventure to the bottom of the falls, where you will be able to cruise meters away from animals such as elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and waterbucks that will be drinking water along the shores, as well as see large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, aquatic bird species, and more. Following the intriguing boat journey, you will meet your driving guide and return to the lodge for an evening of leisure, dinner and overnight stay, as described above.
Day 3: Depart to Kampala
On the last day of your three-day Murchison Falls National Park Safari, you will have a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet with your driving guide for a brief game drive in the park, where you will be able to see any of the animals you may have missed the day before. After the wildlife drive, you’ll leave the park and begin your journey back to Kampala. You will eat lunch en route before continuing to Kampala, where you will arrive early evening. Upon arrival, your driving guide will drop you off at any location advised.
