Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Ziwa rhino sanctuary

Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport on the first day of the 7 Days Uganda primates and wildlife Safari, you will be met by our driving guide, who will brief you on the safari before beginning the journey to Ziwa rhino sanctuary. On the trip, you will have en-route lunch before proceeding to the sanctuary. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for supper before going on a night nature walk with an expert ranger guide and spotlight torches for clear views of nocturnal wildlife. Following the nocturnal wildlife walk, you will return to the resort for an overnight stay at the Amuka Safari lodge.

Day 2: Rhino tracking and transfer to Murchison falls national park

On the second day of the safari, after breakfast, you will meet with your driving guide for an intriguing rhino tracking adventure that will last around 1 to 2 hours and will allow you to see rhinos feeding in their natural habitat. Following rhino tracking, you will embark on a trek to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping for lunch along the way. After lunch, you will travel to the park and drive immediately to the top of the falls, where you will enjoy stunning views of the cascade and water splashes, among other things. From the top of the falls, you will travel to the resort for supper and overnight stay at Paraa Safari lodge(luxury) or Pakuba Safari Lodge (midrange).

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

On the third day of the 7 Days Uganda primates and wildlife Safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge for a morning game drive, where you will be rewarded with great views of animals such as buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Oribi, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, Jackson’s hartebeest, giraffes, and predators such as hyenas, lions, leopards, and various bird species, among others. Following the game drive, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will have a thrilling boat tour to the bottom of the falls, where you will be able to see vast herds of hippos in the water, Nile crocodiles lounging on the banks, and other species like as elephants, buffaloes, and warthogs sipping water along the shoreline, as well as water birds. After the boat excursion, which takes around 2 to 3 hours, you will return to the resort for dinner and sleep, as described above.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

On the fourth day of your 7 Days Uganda primates and wildlife Safari, after breakfast, you will check out of the resort and meet your driver guide for the travel to Kibale National Park, popularly known as the monkey capital. En-route lunch will be provided, as well as opportunities to snap photographs, stretch your legs, and enjoy breathtaking views of the gorgeous environment, including the Rwenzori mountain ranges, Lake George, crater lakes, and tea plantations. Upon arrival in Kibale National Park, you will go on an interesting nature walk in Bigodi swamp where you will be able to see mammals such as duikers and sitatunga, primates such as vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and a variety of bird species such as the great blue turaco, among others. After the nature walk, you will travel to the resort for dinner and overnight stay at Primate lodge(luxury) or Chimpanzee Forest Lodge (midrange).

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

On the fifth day of your seven-day Uganda primates and wildlife safari, after an early breakfast, you will meet your driver guide and head to the Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimp trekking briefing. Following the briefing, you will begin hiking into the bush in search of the habituated chimpanzee family. During the journey, you will be able to see additional primate species like as red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, grey checked baboons, many bird species, and tree species, among others.
Once the chimps are located, you will be able to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, observing their behaviours and habits, watching them feed, breastfeed, hunt, play, fight, mate, rest, take photos, and record the moments to show people back home after the safari.

After spending an hour with the chimps, you will return to the starting location to meet your driving guide and begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, stopping for lunch along the way.Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp (luxury) or Buhoma Haven Lodge (midrange).

Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park

On the sixth day of your 7 Days Uganda primates and wildlife Safari, after an early breakfast, you will bring a packed lunch and meet your driver guide at park headquarters for a briefing on the laws and regulations to observe while trekking. Following the briefing, you will begin walking in the forest, which will take between 30 minutes and 7 hours depending on where the gorillas are found, since they tend to wander from place to place in quest of food. During the journey, you will be able to see additional primate species such as hoest monkeys and chimps, as well as a variety of forest birds and plant species. Once the mountain gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, where you will be able to observe them performing daily activities such as feeding, breastfeeding, grooming young ones, playing, observing their behaviours and habits, taking photos, and recording breathtaking moments.

After one hour with the gorillas, you will go on an interesting cultural trip in which you will be able to engage with the Batwa, learn about their culture and way of life, visit their homesteads, and experience traditional performances, among other things. After the cultural trip, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as described above.

Day 7: Departure to Kihihi airstrip

On the final day of your 7-day Uganda primates and wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet your driver guide at Kihihi airfield for your flight to Entebbe.
