14 Days Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania Safari will take you across international borders as you travel to these countries and stop at a variety of locations, including Tarangire National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, the Masai Mara National Reserve, the Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater.
On your safari, you’ll take part in a variety of activities, including game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park, chimpanzee trekking, a canopy walk, and gorilla trekking. In the morning and afternoon, you may take part in game drives in the Masai Mara national reserve.
You may also hunt for numerous animal species in Serengeti National Park, including the “big 5” (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinoceroses, and buffaloes), by exploring the huge savannah grasslands.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Ruhengeri
Your guide will greet you on the first day of your 14-day safari through Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania and bring you up from the airport. A brief city tour of Kigali will precede your journey from there to Ruhengeri. You will go to the genocide monument during your city tour. You will go to Ruhengeri town later in the day for dinner and an overnight stay at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Parc National Des Volcans
You will wake up for breakfast at your accommodation ahead of a gorilla trekking trip in Volcanoes national park. Your guide will take you to the park’s administrative building where ORTPN representatives will inform you before your gorilla trekking excursion. The park rangers who will be accompanying you during your gorilla hike will accompany you as you go with your adventure.
At Volcanoes National Park, you will go over the rough terrain in pursuit of the gorillas. Depending on the gorillas’ movements, the gorilla trekking experience at Volcanoes National Park might last anywhere from three to five hours. After spending roughly an hour with the gorillas, you will return to Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge for supper and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe for canopy walk.
You’ll start your travel to Nyungwe Forest National Park after breakfast at your lodging. You will have lunch along the way, and then thereafter, you will stroll down a trail to the Canopy Walk, a swing bridge that is 50 meters long and hanging from tall trees. With a bird’s eye perspective, you will be able to see the magnificent rainforest while witnessing wildlife moving about below you. You will return to your lodge following your canopy walks for dinner and the rest of the night at Nyungwe Top Hill View Hotel.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking.
You will enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge on the fourth day of your 14-day safari across Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania before going chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will go for a briefing after breakfast as you get ready to visit the Nyungwe forest to seek for chimpanzees.
The chimpanzees in Nyungwe Forest may be seen by their ability to hop from one tree to another. An activity to follow chimpanzees lasts roughly three hours. You’ll then take a shuttle back to Kigali after the chimpanzee hike, stopping for lunch along the way. Continue on to the Des Milles Collines Hotel in Kigali, where you will check in for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5; flight to Nairobi and drive to Nairobi hotel
You will be transported to the airport in Kigali for your flight to Nairobi, Kenya, after breakfast and checking out of the hotel in Kigali. Your guide will meet you up from the airport upon your arrival in Kenya, greet you, and give you a briefing on your safari. Following your briefing, you will travel to Nairobi and check into the La Maison royale hotel.
Day 6; drive to Lake Nakuru national park
Your breakfast will be served at your accommodation in Nairobi ahead of your trip to Lake Nakuru national park. You will eat lunch before indulging in another game drive around the national park.
Following lunch, you proceed on a game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park to look for different animal species including flamingos on the lake’s banks as well as rhinos, buffalos, zebras, elands, lions, and waterbucks. After this adventure, you will return to your lodge to be ready for dinner and your overnight stay at Zziwa Bush Lodge.
Day 7; drive to Masai Mara national reserve
As you get ready for your trip to the Maasai Mara national reserve, you will eat breakfast at your lodge. You will be taken to your resort after a 4- to 5-hour trip, where you may check in and have lunch. The Masai Mara national reserve is home to numerous other animal species as well as the “big 5,” which include elephants, lions, rhinoceroses, buffaloes, and leopards.
You will also engage in an evening game drive around Masai Mara national reserve as you explore the reserve and look out for various wildlife species such as lions, elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, leopards, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests among others. After the evening game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay AA Mara lodge.
Day 8; morning and afternoon game drives
A whole day will be spent doing wildlife drives around the Masai Mara national reserve. On your safari, you will go on morning and afternoon game drives to look for wildlife like zebras, antelopes, buffalos, wildebeests, giraffes, topis, impalas, hyenas, lions, and leopards.
Game Drives in Maasai Mara National Reserve
You will go on a game drive in the Masai Mara national reserve after lunch in order to look for different animal species in the savannah plains. After an evening game drive with your guide, you’ll head to your lodge for dinner and the rest of the night at AA Mara resort.
Day 9; drive to Serengeti national park
You will begin your trip to Serengeti National Park after breakfast. After passing through immigration, you will arrive at the Isebania border in the late afternoon where our Tanzanian guide will welcome you. After that, you’ll go to your lodge in the center of the Serengeti National Park where you’ll have dinner and spend the night in an Osinon camp or lodge.
Day 10; full day in Serengeti
You will eat breakfast early at your lodge on the tenth day of your 14-day safari across Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania before spending the entire day exploring the savannah plains of the national park. On your Tanzania safari in Serengeti national park, you will engage in morning and afternoon game drives as you seek for wildlife species in the country such as the big 5 like elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalos and leopards.

You will have your lunch before indulging in another game drive in Serengeti national park in the afternoon as you look for animal species such as wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, impalas, kudu, waterbucks, buffalos, hippos, elands, hyenas, warthogs among others. You will enjoy dinner and spend the night at an Osinon camp or lodge following your wildlife drives.
Day 11; drive to Ngorongoro crater
Before you drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, breakfast will be given to you at your accommodation in the Serengeti National Park. After lunch, you will descend into the Ngorongoro crater to experience the incredible animal watching chances and the surrounding natural beauty.
On your game drive around the Ngorongoro crater, you’ll look for a variety of animal species including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, and enormous African elephants as well as predators like lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards. You will also go to Lake Magadi, which is one of the crater’s principal attractions and is a sizable but shallow alkaline lake. During your tour to the lake, you will observe a lot of flamingos, hippos, and other bird species. After dinner, you’ll head to your lodge where you’ll spend the night at Eileen’s Tree Inn.
Day 12; travel to Tarangire national park
Before you drive to Tarangire National Park, breakfast will be given to you at your lodging. You will go on a game drive in the late afternoon through the national park, which has sights like the Tarangire River, a water supply for the area’s many animal species.
Savannah grasslands, acacia woods, and baobab trees may all be found in Tarangire National Park. During your game drive in the national park, you will seek for diverse animal species such as herds of elephants, zebras, buffalos, leopards, lions, cheetahs and many others as well as over 500 bird species. You will return to your lodge for supper and sleep at Tarangire Roika Lodge following your wildlife drive.
Day 13; travel to Arusha
After breakfast at your lodge on the thirteenth day of your 14-day safari across Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania, your guide will drive you to Arusha and drop you off at your hotel, where you may spend the rest of the day unwinding. The Tulia boutique hotel and spa will be where you have supper and spend the night.
Day 14; departure
After breakfast on the final day of your safari, a driver will take you to the airport to catch your journey home, bringing the trip to an end.
