How to get to Rumanyika-karagwe National Park

You can reach Rumanyika-karagwe national park by either Road or Air.

By Air, you can take a chattered flight from the nearby airports of Chato and Bukoba from which light aircraft can fly to Ibanda-Kyerwa airstrip, making it easy to get there quickly.

If you prefer to drive, you can travel by road from Bukoba Town to Murongo which is about 220 km away. Alternatively, if you’re coming from Chato Town, the distance to Murongo which is 327 km.

You can also access the park by road from Uganda and Rwanda. From Uganda, you can reach Murongo via the Kikagati border.  If you’re coming from Rwanda, you can cross the Rusumo border and drive through to Karagwe to get to Murongo.
