4 Days Bwindi Gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi Safari
The 4 days Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi safari is an exciting safari that will take you to Lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest Lake in Uganda and Bwindi impenetrable national park which is located in south western Uganda. Bwindi impenetrable national park is known for harboring the highest number of mountain gorillas which are found in four sectors namely Rushaga sector in the south, Ruhija sector in the East, Nkuringo sector in the south and Buhoma sector in the north.
During the 4 days Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will be able to spend time with the endangered mountain gorillas during gorilla trekking and gorilla habituation experience.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On the first day of the 4 days Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide from your hotel in Entebbe or Entebbe international airport to start the safari to Bwindi impenetrable national park. It’s a whole day journey and on the way, you will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe where you will buy souvenirs and take photos. From the Equator, you will have another stopover for en-route lunch and then proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Upon arrival, you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 4 days Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will carry your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will be divided into groups of 8 people where each group will be allocated a habituated gorilla family to trek. Gorilla trekking takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where the mountain gorillas are located and during trekking, you will be able to view other wildlife species. Once the gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their habitat which gives you a chance to watch them feeding, breastfeeding, playing, resting, grooming young ones, learn more about their behaviors, characters, take photos and record videos.
After the one hour with the mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the starting point where you will be given a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking experience and later meet up with your driver guide to return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi-boat ride
After an early breakfast on the third day of the 4 days Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will check out of the lodge to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest Lake in Uganda. It takes about 2-3 hours’ drive and upon arrival, you will go for an amazing boat ride on the lake where you will explore the 29 islands, learn about their history, enjoy views of the beautiful scenery, landscape, terraced farmlands, view different bird species among others. After the boat ride, you will drive to the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Departure to Kampala/Entebbe
On the last day of the 4 days Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kampala. You will have a stopover in Mbarara for en-route lunch and then continue to Kampala arriving early evening and upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of advise depending on your schedule which brings you to the end of safari.
