Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
To start your combined Kenya and Tanzania safari, you will be picked up from the airport by your driver guide. After briefing you about the safari, you will embark on a journey to Masai Mara National Reserve – the most iconic safari destination in Kenya. Enjoy lunch after checking in and in the afternoon, you will go for your first game drive, giving you the first introduction to the Mara plains.
Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Sentrim Mara Camp for budget, Julia’s River Camp for mid-range, or Serena Mara Lodge for luxury.

Day 2: Game Drive in Masai Mara, Maasai Cultural Tour
Wake up to a cup of coffee and head to the reserve for a morning game drive, giving you an opportunity to see early risers including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, and cheetahs, among others. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast, enjoy a short rest and later return to the reserve for another game drive. You will also go for a visit to the Maasai Village for an encounter with the local Maasai people, an opportunity to learn about the life of the Maasai people. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Optional Hot Air Balloon Ride and Game Drive in Masai Mara
Wake up early for a hot air balloon ride over the Masai Plains. Look out for the various wildlife, including the Big 5 animals. Enjoy magical sunrises over the Masai Mara, with amazing views of the savannah plains dotted with acacia trees. When you land, you are treated to a bush champagne breakfast in the wilderness.
Then go for a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara plains in search of the various wildlife, including the Big Five – lions, leopards, cape buffalo, rhinos, and elephants. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Enjoy an early breakfast, then head out and embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park with your packed lunch boxes. Clear with the immigration at the Isebania border, meet your Tanzania Driver and proceed to Serengeti National Park, arriving in the evening. With an en route game drive, head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Today you will spend a full day in Serengeti National Park with your lunch boxes. Enjoy game viewing around the Seronera River, where you will see several animals, including lions, Thomson gazelles, topis, ostriches, cheetahs, and several bird species, among others.
After your game drive, you will head to the picnic site to enjoy your lunch. Continue exploring the park till evening, and return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Crater Rim Walk
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, and then proceed to a transfer out of the Serengeti, enjoying yet another game drive with en route lunch. When you arrive in Ngorongoro, go for a guided walking safari in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and come close-up with several animals, including zebras, giraffes, and gazelles, among others. Return to your lodge, enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Full-Day Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Masai Bomas
After breakfast, proceed to descend over 600 meters into the crater for a half-day game drive. Supported by year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, including lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, herds of wildebeests, buffaloes, eland, warthogs, zebras, and elephants, among others.
During the game drive, you will also visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Departure
After breakfast at the lodge, with your packed lunch, transfer to Arusha, where you will be dropped off either at the airport or at the hotel, bringing your safari to an end.
